The most vivid memory for my kids was seeing snow for the first time--they just stood outside with their tongues hanging out to taste it . Yes, the dancing is fabulous. We also went to a local dance class in Beauly because they were short of women so even my daughter had a partner for the dancing. We have so many great memories of that trip. I also drove them up north to a beach where they could see the seals--never went anywhere near them but we just watched them and that was a memorable sight too. Scotland has so much, it doesn't matter what you are interested in because you will find it there.Ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12201701705523787683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348734432793771357.post-8885706097414996692011-09-01T21:21:57.446-05:002011-09-01T21:21:57.446-05:00Thanks for sharing your trip to Scotland. Edinburgh was my home for many years, and now I love taking my own children to visit. And you really can't beat a good ceilidh, so don't forget your dancing shoes, folks, if you visit Scotland!
Thanks for the super post, loved it. :)

Jane xJane Richardsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07633011977001159724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348734432793771357.post-50152037818650988732011-09-01T10:53:12.478-05:002011-09-01T10:53:12.478-05:00Elle, I loved Scotland on my first visit this past...Elle, I loved Scotland on my first visit this past spring. Two of my grown children and I stayed briefly in Edinburgh and then went on to the Isle of Skye, stopping in Stirling on the way. Then to Inverness and the family memorial park, which was a thrill. Culloden, St. Andrews--we loved every minute--the wild landscape, the people, the food. I can't wait to go back.judyalterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13767466505891813090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6348734432793771357.post-65366272852641201482011-09-01T09:12:33.522-05:002011-09-01T09:12:33.522-05:00Would love to go but never got farther north than ...Would love to go but never got farther north than Oxford.
