Cloris is back today with another harried working mother helper for dinner. This time it’s slow cooked pork chops. 10 minutes to prepare in the morning and come home to a yummy, cooked dinner. -- AP
SLOW COOKER PORK CHOPS
(serves 4)
Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
4 thick cut pork chops
4 carrots, peeled and cut in half
1 lg. onion, chopped
Whisk together olive oil, chicken broth, and spices. Pour into crock pot. Cut small slits in pork chops with knife tip. Place pork chops in crock pot, turning to coat both sides. Add carrots and onions. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hrs. or on high 4 hrs. Serve with fast-cooking brown rice.
Thanks, Cloris! How much easier could dinner prep get, right readers? Do you use your slow cooker, or is it gathering dust on a top shelf in your pantry? Maybe it’s time to haul it out and try this recipe. Post a comment to enter the drawing for a book from our Book Club Friday guest author this week. -- AP

I think it sounds delicious---and I happen to have all the ingredients on hand and won't have to venture out--it's currently -18 degrees here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by with some tips, Dan.Eliot.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, it's a balmy 24 degrees here, but it's snowing and sleeting, and an ice storm is on the way. Hopefully, we won't lose power.
