Over the last couple of months I’ve posted about
museum exhibits I saw while vacationing in Montreal and Quebec this past
summer. On our way home we took a short detour as we left Quebec City and went to
Montmorency Falls in Parc de la Chute-Montmorency.
Located about seven and half miles from the old city
of Quebec, the falls are 276 feet high, ninety-eight feet higher than Niagara
Falls. A winding wooden staircase allows visitors to climb from the river up to
a suspension bridge that spans the width of the falls.

For the less adventuresome, there’s an aerial tram
that carries people from the base of the falls to the top. For the more
adventuresome, there’s a zip line. We climbed all those stairs and walked
across the suspension bridge.
