GROUNDS FOR #BEAUTY

If you’re looking for natural beauty products, look no further than your used coffee grounds. Coffee grounds are a great exfoliating body scrub. Simply mix with some warm water and your favorite all-natural oil, then scrub from head to toe.

To make a natural alpha-hydroxy, antioxidant facial mask, combine two tablespoons of used coffee grounds, two tablespoons organic cocoa powder, three tablespoons whole milk or heavy cream, and a heaping tablespoon of honey. Mix together and apply to your face. Sit back and relax while the natural elements work their magic on your skin.

Coffee grounds will also remove built-up residue from hair care products. Before shampooing, massage a handful of used grounds into your hair. The coarse texture of the grounds will release the product residue without damaging your tresses.

Want to get rid of that cellulite? Try coffee grounds. Scrub coffee grounds mixed with warm water over cellulite affected areas of your skin for ten minutes twice a week. You should start to see results in about a month.

#BEAUTY WITH NICOLE--HONEY AND BAKING SODA FACIAL

DIY Facial

We all know that baking soda has a multitude of uses other than for baking. However, did you know it can also be used to make a facial mask that will give your skin a radiant glow? The baking soda not only gently exfoliates your skin, but it also absorbs oil. Adding honey will moisturize and protect your skin.

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a teaspoon of honey. Add a few drops of water to create a paste. Apply the paste to your skin and leave on for five minutes. Rinse.

BEAUTY WITH NICOLE--COMBATING WINTER HAIR

Winter wreaks havoc on our hair. The low humidity, coupled with the need to wear hats, creates a lot of static-electricity, making most of us look like something out of a horror movie. To combat this, you need to hydrate your hair more to lock in moisture. This mask will not only do that, it will also reduce buildup to improve your hair’s shine.

Anti-static Hair Mask

Ingredients:
1/2 banana, mashed
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey

Blend the vinegar and honey into the mashed banana. Wash your hair (don’t use conditioner afterwards) and towel until damp. Coat hair with mask and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse. Apply conditioner and rinse again.
