BOOK CLUB FRIDAY--AN INTERVIEW WITH KATE McKEEVER'S HERO COLE "SINNER" RAMSEY

Today we sit down for a chat with Cole “Sinner” Ramsey from author Kate McKeever’s upcoming November release, Sinner’s Redemption.

What was your life like before your author started pulling your strings?
I was at peace, or at least I didn’t have to remember my past.

What’s the one trait you like most about yourself?
My ability to focus and to achieve my goals.

What do you like least about yourself?
The mistake I made.

What is the strangest thing your author has had you do or had happen to you?
Meet up with Van Hudson, the woman I tried to forget.

Do you argue with your author? If so, what do you argue about?
I don’t argue with her, I try to ignore her.

What is your greatest fear?
That I’ll repeat mistakes from the past.

What makes you happy?
Being of service to people.

If you could rewrite a part of your story, what would it be? Why?
I’d not have made the mistake in my past and I’d be able to sleep at night.

Of the other characters in your book, which one bugs you the most? Why?
Van. She’s stubborn and hard-headed, and too beautiful to ignore.

Of the other characters in your book, which one would you love to trade places with? Why?
I don’t think I’d switch with anyone. Even if I’m not perfect, I’m working on my life.

Tell us a little something about your author. Where can readers find her website/blog?
Kate really does want to tell a story that has action and tells our stories. If she has one flaw it’s caring too much that she gets the point across.

What's next for you?
I’ll be sharing my story in November when Kate releases Sinner’s Redemption. And I’ll be showing up in her next Brotherhood Protectors book, Saint’s Fall, in 2019.

Sinner’s Redemption
A Brotherhood Protector’s Novel

Cole “Sinner” Ramsey is an ex Seal sniper who mistakenly shot an innocent on a mission to rescue a hostage in the middle east. He never forgot his last mission and now strives to help veterans through his rehabilitation counseling services at Brighter Days Ranch. When reporter Vanessa Hudson appears at the ranch, fresh from being saved a second time from a hostage situation in South America, he recognizes the woman who inadvertently caused the innocent’s death years ago. Now, it’s his job to help her recover her memory. When Van is threatened by unknown assailants, his sniper skills also come into play. Now, he has to learn the secret trapped in Van’s mind while keeping her safe from that very fact. In the end, can he bring himself to kill again, even if it’s for the woman he loves?

Sinner’s Redemption, A Brotherhood Protector’s novel, coming in November.

BOOK CLUB FRIDAY--AN INTERVIEW WITH AUTHOR KATE McKEEVER'S SECONDARY CHARACTER JACOB "KID" LASSITER

Today we sit down for a chat with Jacob "Kid" Lassiter. He appears in Saving Sidewinder from romance author Kate McKeever’s Brotherhood Protectors World series.

What was your life like before your author started pulling your strings?
Pretty boring. I was in rehab after the hospital. That was after I was injured by an IED in the Middle East.

What’s the one trait you like most about yourself?
I guess I'm good with animals. That was a surprise.

What do you like least about yourself?
My memory is shot after I was injured. I have to think hard to remember stuff that shouldn't be that hard.

What is the strangest thing your author has had you do or had happen to you?
Go to the Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch in Montana. I was born and raised a southern city kid in Memphis, then joined the Army and the Rangers. Never had any experience on a ranch but it's working out okay.

Do you argue with your author? If so, what do you argue about?
Nah. She's pretty much had my best interests in mind, so far.

What is your greatest fear?
Letting down my buddy, Sidewinder.

What makes you happy?
Being with the horses and getting my life back on track.

If you could rewrite a part of your story, what would it be? Why?
I'd not be injured. I'd still be in the army and doing what I do best.

Of the other characters in your book, which one bugs you the most? Why?
This guy, Price? He's one bad apple and we've had a lot of trouble out of him. Haven't even met him yet but he's out to get Alana and Charlie and doesn't care who he messes up in the doing it.

Of the other characters in your book, which one would you love to trade places with? Why?
Talley, the ranch foreman. He knows his place in the world and knows his job.

Tell us a little something about your author. Where can readers find her website/blog?
Kate is a dark horse. She's all nice and kind but in the back of her mind, she has some deviousness about her. Her website has stuff about her books and things she enjoys. Her facebook page, the one with friends on it, tells you more about who she really is and what she cares about.

What's next for you?
I'm going to stay on at the ranch for a while. I've had a bit of an accident and need to recuperate. And that means I get to stay near the horses, which is a good deal for me.

Saving Sidewinder
Sam “Sidewinder” Jameson left the Rangers to keep an eye on his young friend, Kid, as he recovers from their last mission, an injury Sam blames himself for. To tide him over and be close at hand, Sidewinder agrees to a short stint with Hank Patterson’s Brotherhood Protectors. He expects his assignment to guard Alana Christian and her son from threats to be a job, nothing more. What he doesn’t plan on is how the job will change him and his expectations, both of Kid and of himself.

BOOK CLUB FRIDAY--MEET LIV GRANT FROM AUTHOR KATE McKEEVER'S CHANDLER TENNESSEE SERIES

Today we sit down with Liv Grant from Kate McKeever’s Chandler Tennessee Series.

What was your life like before your author started pulling your strings?
I was, if not happily, then temporarily satisfied hiding.

What’s the one trait you like most about yourself?
The ability to adapt. It’s proven to be very handy, so far.

What do you like least about yourself?
My fear

What is the strangest thing your author has had you do or had happen to you?
To put me in the path of Jake Greene. And it’s also the best thing ever.

Do you argue with your author? If so, what do you argue about?
We haven’t really argued but I have hidden under the covers a time or two during the books.

What is your greatest fear?
That my past will end up harming the people I love.

What makes you happy?
Being with the people I love and knowing they love me and are safe.

If you could rewrite a part of your story, what would it be? Why?
I’d have been brave at the beginning of my story, rather than the end.

Of the other characters in your book, which one bugs you the most? Why?
My ex. Enough said?

Of the other characters in your book, which one would you love to trade places with? Why?
No one. I don’t really need to be anyone else and wouldn’t wish my past on anyone else.

Tell us a little something about your author. Where can readers find her website/blog?
Kate is one of those unsung writers that people don’t know about. She writes a great story, full of love, angst and suspense. Readers can learn more about her at her website.

What's next for you?
I’ll be showing up in later books in the Chandler series. I’m not sure what the future holds for me, but knowing Kate, it won’t be dull!

Tender Mercies
Book 2 in the Chandler Tennessee Series

Liv Grant has her life planned, at least for the next month or so. She’ll stay in Chandler and work at the Old Time Diner, honing her baking skills. At least that’s what she’s told herself. Her interest in Jake Greene is not the reason she wants to stay on in the small town, rather than moving on and staying hidden from her abusive ex-husband. When a prowler begins to jangle her nerves, she decides maybe it’s time to consider relocating, only to have Jake and her intense attraction to him tempt her to stay on. Her sister, in Florida, is safe, she is safe, why not stay? Then her sister begins to have troubles. Will Liv stay in the small Tennessee town and face her demons or keep running?

Tender Mercies will be available in April. Meanwhile, you might want to check out Liv’s first adventure, Christmas at the Old Time Diner.
