EASTER FUN FACTS

Easter is Sunday, so we here at American Woman thought we’d entertain you today with some fun facts we found while trolling around the Internet when we should have been hard at work. (Don’t tell Naomi!) -- AP

90 million chocolate Easter bunnies are created each year for Easter and 76% of Americans bite the ears off first.

Americans will buy 700 million marshmallow Peeps this Easter.

16 billion jelly beans are made specifically for Easter consumption. That’s enough to fill a plastic Easter egg the size of a 9 story building!

Red jelly beans are the most popular with kids.

Americans spend more than $2 billion on Easter candy each year, second only to the amount of candy bought for Halloween, and consume over 7 billion pounds of candy on Easter.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest Easter egg ever made was over 25 feet high and made of chocolate and marshmallow. It weighed 8,968 lbs.
