MONEY MATTERS WITH SHEILA--ENERGY COSTS

The days are getting shorter...and cooler. Pretty soon we’ll all be cranking up our heating systems. Were your heating bills through the roof last year? There are ways to cut down on heating costs that don’t involve wearing mittens and mufflers around the house. Schedule a home energy audit. Many utility companies offer energy audits for free or at a reasonable rate. The auditor will identify places where you’re house is losing heat and suggest ways to prevent the heat loss.

We live in a four building co-op. Sixty apartments per building. The board of directors are all RUSSIAN. That means we don't get the same amount of heat we did twenty years ago. They don't need it or want it so the rest of us just keep afgans on our loungers and wear sweaters.

I'd love to hit a lottery so I could buy a house and keep it as warm as I like (74 degrees) all winter long.
