Aluminum foil is a kitchen staple, but it can be used
for much more than cooking and wrapping leftovers. Here are some other uses for
aluminum foil.
1. Have you ever needed to pour something from a
large container into a smaller one, especially one with a narrow opening? Use a
piece of aluminum foil to make a funnel.
2. Scissors not cutting well? You can sharpen dull
scissor blades with foil. Fold a piece of foil into quarters to form four
layers. Cut through the layers several times, and those blades will sharpen
right up.
3. If you’ve noticed oxidation on your chrome
fixtures, you can remove it by rubbing the surface with a crumpled piece of
foil.
4. If you place a sheet of aluminum foil under your
ironing board cover, you’ll spend less time ironing. The metal absorbs the
heat, making quick work of wrinkles in cotton and wool.
